First of all, make sure nobody else has already written the article. To do so, just add the title of the article (with spaces and everything) to the end of this URL:
So, for example, the article on Francis Joseph I is located here:
If it already exists, it takes you there. If it doesn't, it takes you to a page from where you can build the article.
To build the article, just click the "edit" tab at the top of the page, and start writing! You can write as little or as much as you like. When you're done, save the page, and it's updated automatically. There are GUI buttons at the top of the editing menu so you can access things like bold text, images, and the like.
Beautification/Making it PrettyEdit
To link internally within AlexWiki, just put the name of the article between a pair of square brackets.
For example, if you put this in:
- [[Francis Joseph I]] was the first sovereign of a united [[Alexandria]]
Then the output text looks like this:
Internal Links with Different TitlesEdit
If you want a link to appear with a different title than it's own, just add a line between the text and the link:
- [[Damien Clouseau]] is the Premier of [[Valenciennes|the province of Valenciennes]]
To link to a page outside the AlexWiki, just put the url in as text, and it will be turned into a link automatically.
Bulleted lists are easy. Input it like this:

Pictures and ImagesEdit
Upload a picture to the AlexWiki by using the "Upload file" option on the toolbar at left.
When you've done that, you get a link like this:

Insert this into any page, and it looks something like this (see right):
Most pages fit into one of several categories. All of the current categories are viewable here. Choose the most appropiate one (there may be several, then add it to your article in this format:
It's added to the category automatically, and the category bar appears at the bottom of the page.
To cause a redirect, just add the following code to the page:
